B i o g r a p h y

Leda M.Pap-Nagy is a graduate of the Music University of Bucharest, Romania. In addition to receiving many awards, both regional and international, Leda was the principal harpist of the Opera Orchestra of Timisoara, the Symphony Orchestra of Ploiesti, Romania. Later she became the principal harpist of the Windsor Symphony Orchestra in Canada, and has collaborated with several orchestras in Canada and USA. She has performed as a harp soloist, and in chamber ensembles in Romania, Canada, Israel, Italy and the USA. She has perfomed at the World Harp Congress in Geneva, Switzerland. Mrs.Pap-Nagy also taught harp and piano at the Renaissance Studios in Windsor, and has recorded for CBC Radio and TV networks. At the present time she lives in metro Detroit, where she teaches and appears in public as a harpist-composer, and along with her flutist husband Elemer Nagy are the "NagyDuo"

Elemer Nagy presently is a freelance flutist. He studied the flute at the School of Music in Targu Mures, Romania. After graduation he became a permanent flutist with the Symphony Orchestra of Botosani for three years. He moved to Satu-Mare and worked there for 18 years as a permanent flutist of the Symphony Orchestra, as well as taught at the local School of Music during that time. He has performed as a soloist, as well as a chamber musician in Romania, Canada, Italy, Hungary and the USA. Mr. Nagy has also taught flute, clarinet and saxophone at the Music Center in Dearborn Heights, Michigan.
